This week, we feature what it means to be in St. Barths island!

Some of the islands’ magnificent villas

First off we have the Fantasia Villas in St. Barths, truly one of the best villa rental providers in the island. The chic accommodation and luxurious theme to the villas they have, makes you feel like a celebrity living in these villas.

Villas in St. Barths are definitely the way to go. Not only is it cheaper, since most people think it’s more expensive, it’s also more private. You can enjoy every inch of the villa without fear of invading someone else’s personal space. You can swim in the pool anytime without worrying on what time it will close. If you want to cook your own dinner and maybe do some groceries for that matter, villas have refrigerators and freezers for food storage and have cooking stoves and ovens so that at the late hours of the night, you can cook up a meal to satisfy your stomach. And for those couples who want that ultimate and intimate night away from the eyes of the common public, as what hotels usually have, the villas are so exclusive that even the neighbors don’t mind what you’re doing as long as you don’t go too overboard with the NOISE.

Villa West Indies also offers the same type of service. With a view of Flamands beach, Villa West Indies gives that same feeling of comfortability and relaxed mood. Offering also high-standard service, Villa West Indies also has their own set of kitchen and dining ware, a porch to sit and enjoy the view, appliances that can be used as amenities that come with the villa, a hammock beneath the roof just to feel the breeze of air without the heat of the sun, in short, it has everything you need.

Another one of those villas that offer similar type of service is the Dunes Villa. Now this villa has somewhat a different theme to it. Most would say that this is how villas should be, others would say that it’s much too sophisticated as the traditional types of villas are the most preferred. But one thing about this villa that stands out is that, it is very modern. Just look at the architectural design, although we’re not experts but just by looking at it you can tell the designer really wanted to capture the eyes of the modern man, but still reserving the sights of the traditional man.

This modern type villa takes you into the future of how villas should look like. No more of the old wood materials (although wood is what keeps the villas cool aside from air-conditioning), but the use of metals and aluminum for the cooling system. These types of villas though very sophisticated in appearance, doesn’t depart from the lifestyle that St. Barths will always be a home away from your home, may it be modern or traditional.

Revisiting the beaches of this island

St. Barths island is known for its many beaches. Last week we featured the many different beautiful beaches of St. Barths, this time let us just take a look at them from the view of our guests on the island.

Saline Beach once again made it to this weeks’ photos, as this time it features the sand, leaves, and waters of this white pinch of salty sands beach. Saline beach from the word itself is from the residue of the salty waters. Saline = Salt that’s why the white sands of this beach are very thin and fine, apart from the other beaches of St. Barths. I mean, each beach has it’s own characteristic. For Saline beach, it is the salty sands and waters. In the photo above, the leaves are naturally placed by the wind, and the photo taken captures that moment where you are just laying on the beach and the slow air blows the trees above, causing some leaves to fall with consistency, not to disturb you, but to make you feel that truly you are in a magical place.

We have another “foot/footprints-in-the-sand” picture! Maybe we should have a photo contest soon of people sending us a photo of their feet in the sand, with footprints in the sand also seen, and a view of the beach, complete with an explanation as to what the footprints in the sand by the beach mean to them. Is it because the beach makes them feel like at home, where you can just be on your bare feet without worrying of dirtying the floor? Or because after long months of work, they finally get to take their feet off the socks and leather shoes and dip it in sand to cool it down? I think this would be a great contest. You always see pictures of people doing this. There should be a term for this like, Foot-Selfie, or Feet-Selfie, or Self-Foot or better . . . . . . SELF-FEET! Yeah I bet that would be a great gimmick.

Why St. Barths is THE Island in the Caribbean

Let us not forget that each of us, has his own reason for coming to St. Barths. May it be to spend time with family, loved ones, friends and peer groups; a romantic getaway, a honeymoon, a proposal-of-a-lifetime, a-wedding-of-a-lifetime, or just a simple escape from the hassles and bustles of work and everyday normal life. Each one is special no matter how it is spent. But one thing’s for sure: each has it’s own memories and experiences. No need to spend all the money in the world, but just enough to grab that feeling of getting your money’s worth. That’s how it is in this beautiful island. The luxury style of spending hundred thousands but not even benefiting from half of that , is not what this island wants to store in your memory. Instead, the fun-filled memory that you spend here and taking them home with you to spread to others about those great experiences, that’s what this island wants you to bring home. You arrive with a smile, and leave with a smile. That’s the kind of satisfaction that St. Barths wants to see.

For now, take this small boat with you, go and tour the island. And remember, you leave with a smile, and come back with a smile also. Deal? Great.
