How’s your 2014 so far? Have recent events been good or just the same?
We first started off the week with a beautiful St. Barths black and white sunset photo. This to remind us that life starts all black and white, and the rest of the colors come later, to fill up our memories.
St. Barths through the sea, land and taste buds
In an article written by Lee F. Mindel, this is the first part that will color to the beautiful life that is in St. Barths. This article features the beautiful and relaxing beaches that are perfect for family outings or snorkeling, diving, or surfing; for the health-conscious individuals it features the best hiking trails for mountainous spots for a great view of the Gustavia harbor and beautiful sunsets or sunrise; and for the avid food lovers, the most sumptuous & delicious food servings you can find from the many different restaurants in St. Barths. For more information about this, you can read the full story in this article. The Magnificent Beaches, Hiking Trails, and Restaurants of St. Barts.
St. Barths joins the Golden Globe trend
This one hot topic, one that hopefully may add a little color, was trending in Twitter and probably the rest of social media is the admission of Sean “P.Diddy” Combs during the Golden Globes Awarding Ceremony after announcing the winner of the Best Original Score to “All Is Lost” composer Alex Ebert, when P. Diddy shouted out to everyone that, “He was on a boat with me partying in St. Barts. And now we’re here together!†(referring to the music composer.) This statement went abuzz all over social media, most of them poking fun at P.Diddy for always taking the limelight and for his boastful throwing of lavish parties.
Views and images
On a different note, we take you to the breathtaking view of the Gustavia Harbor. This kind of view, if you have not been to St. Barths, is what makes you want to be in St. Barths in that exact moment of seeing the image. For those who have already been to St. Barths, it makes you want to go back again and relive the memories that this beautiful island has instilled in you. And for those presently or currently in the island, you wish that you will never leave the place and just live in the place forever.
In connection to the view that you may have from Gustavia, or from any part of St. Barths, this next image shows the beach side of one of the most beautiful resorts. This beach front view of Le Sereno Hotel shows us the many activities that you may can enjoy like: jetskiing, boatriding, boatcycling, and snorkeling. A child-friendly resort, Le Sereno boasts of world-class accomodation complete with the best amenities and great-tasting food from renowned Top Chefs.
Public opinion and inquiry
Now on to a very interesting thing that we have tackled, and these are opinions and questions of real people, real-time, inquiring about St. Barths, and us giving them our own personal opinion trying to help them out the best way we can. These questions come from people interested in traveling to St. Barths, people already in St. Barths, and people who have been to the island but are planning for a 2nd, 3rd or multiple trips of going back.
One user named Galwayman, asks us to compare where is the most similar or common place there is in St. Barths in the Caribbean and in France in Europe, as this user says that it is very expensive to fly from Europe to St. Barths and now looks to find somewhere that has the same “feel” as St. Barths, Caribbean, but is closer to mainlain France in Europe. We answered this by agreeing with some of the other users’ comments that St. Tropez is the more similar and closer to mainland France to St. Barths Caribbean. Recommending Ramatuelle a quieter village with lots of villas, is beautiful during the summer, the same as St. Barths is during December. Ramatuelle is lovely/sleepy, giving that very cool and relaxing feeling setting the mood for a perfect vacation.
Article: Anguilla, the new St. Barths?
Anguilla is the neighboring island of St. Barths in the Caribbean, but Anguilla is of British territory and unlike St. Barths, is not as glamorous as its neighbor. But in this article, this claim is about to change. The writer Douglas Cooper investigates into the roots and slowly-rising popularity and celebrity status of Anguilla, claiming its stake as one of the premier destinations in the Caribbean, with having visitors the likes of Denzel Washington, Brad Pitt, and Beyonce with Jay-Z. This posh island can now be accessible by small planes, instead of having to take a ferry boat ride. One luxurious experience in Anguilla is the option of renting a private mansion, complete with a staff of a butler, chef, maids and all others that help keep the mansion maintenance an everyday fresh new look. For more details and exciting news about Anguilla, a contender for the top destination in the Caribbean islands, click the link up top and read through a very informative and non-biased article.
Before we end this write-up, just like how we opened up this article, we end it with a magnificient view of the boats in St. Barths beach, coupled with a beautiful sunset (almost like a black and white feel to it) just like the first picture that we showed you. To the hopeful newcomers of St. Barths, plan well and remember to bring good vibes! To the ones planning of making a comeback, try out new things and explore new adventures with different people, and if with the same people, try meeting new exciting people on the island. Lastly, for the ones who are presently in St. Barths, enjoy it to the fullest! We leave you with a quote and a picture to set the perfect mood for a dream vacation.
“Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints, kill nothing but time.”
